Nagelsmann apologizes to the U21 trainer

Nick Woltemade was in the Nations League in the game for third place in the starting eleven of the German national team. However, the striker could not prevent the 0-2 defeat against France. And that is exactly why national coach Julian Nagelsmann also apologized to U21 coach Antonio di Salvo in terms of Woltemade. “A little sorry to Toni, that was not the plan that he both starts both times,” said the 37-year-old. He added: “I keep my fingers crossed that the U21 plays a better European Championship than we and the title we didn’t get.”
The DFB team had many chances against France in the first half, but there was no goal. Therefore, Nagelsmann emphasized with a view to the future of Woltemade: “He has to do one against Portugal and France. That would have been the icing on the cake.”
Woltemade himself was unimpressed by the burden of the two startef games. “I am very big-and my energy is also big,” he said, before setting the national team for the national team for the U21 European Championship in Slovakia after his two missions.

Woltemade said: “I’m not broken or something, I played two caps. I think there are much worse. And now I play the U21 European Championship, there are also much worse.”
