NAC wins at VVV, Helmond Sport and TOP Oss play a draw

In the Kitchen Champion Division, NAC did good business on Friday evening. The team from Breda won 3-1 against the higher ranked VVV in Venlo.

Aimé Omgba opened the score for NAC after fifteen minutes. After Kees de Boer’s goal, Elías Már Ómarsson and Simon Janssen (with an own goal) decided the game in Breda’s favor in the second half.

FC Eindhoven and TOP Oss
NAC Breda was not the only team that played across the eastern provincial border. Elsewhere in Limburg, in Maastricht at MVV, FC Eindhoven narrowly lost against the home club. It became 3-2. The formation of coach Rob Penders failed to take a 2-0 lead after seventeen minutes (after Charles-Andreas Brym’s opening goal, Evan Rottier missed a penalty kick). MVV then went on and on, via hits from Ruben van Bommel, Marco Kleinen and Pieter Bogaers. The second Eindhoven goal, by Ozan Kökcü, came too late to turn the game around.

TOP Oss played at home against Helmond Sport on Friday evening. Both teams came in a heated duel no further than a draw (2-2). TOP relinquished a 2-0 lead.

PEC Zwolle
Nevertheless, on Friday evening it was mainly about PEC Zwolle, which took a further distance from Heracles Almelo in the championship race. The leader of the Kitchen Champion Division beat Jong FC Utrecht 2-0, while Heracles got stuck on a 1-1 draw against Almere.
