NAC Supporters misbehave at competition again; now at FC Den Bosch

NAC Breda is completely fed up with the behavior of its own supporters. Where it went wrong before against Dordrecht, The Hague and Doetinchem, it was hit in Den Bosch on Friday evening. A small group of supporters demolished a fence and stormed off the stands to attack FC Den Bosch supporters.

“This is absolutely disgraceful and NAC unworthy,” NAC writes in a statement on their site. The club announces that it will request the surveillance images from in and around the stadium and will take a hard line against the rioting supporters who, in the family stands, attacked supporters. “On behalf of the entire club and the benevolent NAC supporters, we offer you our apologies. We condemn this behavior and will take the perpetrators hard.”

The match, in the hands of ESPN, kept the entire riot out of the picture. “But we cannot close our eyes to what has happened here. A large part of the NAC supporters present already spoke out against this useless and scandalous action last night,” says the Breda club.

It is the fourth incident at the club in about a year. In 2021, a NAC player, Jarchinio Antonia, was spat on by its own supporters in Dordrecht. Earlier this year, a group of supporters wrote ‘Cancer The Hague’ in the toilets of the club ADO Den Haag. This referred to the former NAC player Ralf Seuntjens, who was diagnosed with the disease two days before that game.

And in September, during the away game against De Graafschap in Doetinchem, the NAC supporters attacked their own stewards who had traveled with them. That violence in the branch led to a lot of commotion among the NAC supporters.
