NAC closes a turbulent week with a goalless draw against Young Ajax

After last week’s surprising home defeat, FC Eindhoven recovered on Friday evening. On a visit to FC Dordrecht, Rob Penders’ team won 0-1. NAC Breda did not go further than 0-0 against Jong Ajax in the Rat Verlegh Stadium.

NAC Breda-Young Ajax 0-0
In-house, NAC Breda was unable to end a turbulent week with a victory. Against Young Ajax, Edwin de Graaf’s team was stuck in a goalless draw.

More than a week and a half ago it was announced that the club wants to sell its shares to City Football Group, the company behind Manchester City. That news caused a lot of unrest among fans. A victory over the team from Amsterdam, where Mo Ihattaren made his comeback in Dutch professional football, might have calmed the mood a bit.

FC Dordrecht-FC Eindhoven 0-1
A week ago, FC Eindhoven surprisingly lost 1-2 against De Graafschap at home. It was only the first defeat of the year for the Eindhoven team. On a visit to Dordrecht, the players of coach Penders seemed to quickly recover. Already in the fifth minute Joey Sleegers headed the ball in after a cross from Dahlhaus.

In the remainder of the game, both teams were unable to score. With the win, FC Eindhoven crawls closer to the top three again, as both Excelsior and FC Volendam lost on Friday.

FC Volendam-TOP Oss 1-2
The Volendam team surprisingly lost to TOP Oss. Although, surprisingly: Wim Jonk’s team last won a match on 25 February.

Already in the fourth minute, Jearl Margaritha gave the visitors the lead. In stoppage time, the Ossenaren came to 0-2 via Guezen, after which the home team did something back in the last minute.
