The British e-commerce group N Brown Group Plc has filled a key position. On Thursday, the parent company of online fashion retailers JD Williams, Simply Be and Jacamo said Dene Jones has been appointed CEO of Retail. He succeeds Sarah Welsh, who announced her retirement last year.
Jones will assume his new position on February 1 and will report directly to CEO Steve Johnson. In the future, his area of responsibility will include the product, trade and marketing departments. He will also lead the data analysis and visualization areas.
“This expansion of the role will ensure clear accountability for the group’s commercial activities and results and create a close link between the retail and financial services businesses within the group,” the company said.
According to his future employer, Jones has extensive management experience in the fields of marketing and data analysis. Most recently, he worked as Group Chief Marketing and Data Officer at the online used car dealer Constellation Automotive Group.
