Martijn Krabbé’s life was turned upside down a year ago when he was confronted with a serious cancer diagnosis. What the general public did not know until yesterday is that the cancer has spread and there is no longer a chance of recovery. He gives a major interview about it with one of his children in the latest edition of LINDA magazine.
Heartbreaking
Aran Bade, the star reporter of RTL Boulevard, read that interview. “It’s heartbreakingly beautiful. It has really kept me quiet today. Of course you don’t want to be here to tell this story about our colleague Martijn,” he says in the show section.
It also came as a big surprise to Aran. “We have of course seen him occasionally on Instagram with messages and then it went well, I texted him, but we now hear for the first time that things are so different. I also find it so fearless how he tells it.”

Martijn is considered the biggest star of RTL 4, but there is little chance that he will return as a presenter. “I know him as a very sweet man. He prefers to ignore himself and wants to do well for you and the others.”
