“My son is taking a night flight abroad for the first time”: Photos show Jeju Air passengers just before deadly crash

The first fatalities from the crash of a Jeju Air plane in South Korea are given a face. With them was a Korean family who returned from a holiday to Thailand. Images that father Kang Ko (43) posted on Instagram just before the tragedy show the young family enjoying carefree quality time and the couple’s 3-year-old son looking out the window of the plane. The boy was the youngest of the 179 fatalities from the crash.
