“A dismembered, decapitated and naked body was found early in the afternoon by a passer-by near an abandoned building in Mont-Saint-Martin,” said Attorney General Stéphane Javet. The judicial police have launched an investigation.
An autopsy is scheduled for the body soon. It will also happen in Nancy.
Last Thursday, another decapitated body was found about 50 km south of the border municipality. That find was also made by a hiker. The prosecutor’s office has already said that the man’s death happened several months ago.
There is currently no connection between the two cases, the prosecutor said.
