A 38-year-old man who claims to have killed another man turned himself in to the police station in the French city of Fréjus on Friday with a bag containing his victim’s head and penis. This is reported by the police and the public prosecutor of Draguignan.
The police thus confirms reports from the local newspaper Var-Matin.
The man had “a severed head and the victim’s male genitals”, the prosecution clarified in a response to the extremely strange and lurid story. The killer also gave the victim’s name.
The man is immediately taken into custody, where he will be examined by a psychiatrist. He was known to the police for “minor cases”. His motive is currently unclear. The investigation is ongoing.
