In Russia, 547 thousand people with COVID-19 are being treated. This was announced by Minister of Health Mikhail Murashko at a meeting of the Presidium of the Government Coordinating Council on the fight against coronavirus. The broadcast was hosted by the Russia 24 TV channel.
Of this number, 126 thousand people are in the hospital.
“Of these, 17 thousand patients are in serious condition under observation in intensive care wards and 4.2 thousand people are on mechanical ventilation devices,” the minister said.
