Spider-Man: No Way Home took home best picture at the MTV Movie & TV Awards on Sunday. Lead actor Tom Holland took home the award for best acting in a film.
In the television categories, the win went to Euphoria and American actress Zendaya received the award for best acting for her role in that series. Prices are determined by the public, who can vote through the MTV site. Winners receive a figurine in the shape of a bowl of popcorn.
The annual MTV Movie & TV Awards have a few categories that most other award shows lack. For example, Sydney Sweeney and Alexa Demie from Euphoria won the best feud, Daniel Radcliffe won the best villain award for his role in The Lost City and the best hero award went to Scarlett Johansson in Black Widow.
Best kiss award went to stuntman Sean ‘Poopies’ McInerney and the snake that bites him in stunt movie Jackass. Tom Holland and Zendaya, who seem open about their relationship in recent months after years of speculation, were also nominated for their kissing work in Spider-Man.
Jack Black received the Comedic Genius Award for his oeuvre on Sunday evening in Santa Monica. Black was the fifth recipient of the award for actors who have made significant contributions to the world of comedy. The last winner was Sacha Baron Cohen in 2021.
