In the night from Friday to Saturday, a 25-year-old man got stuck, beaten and shot at a business park in Giessen. He was not hit by bullets. Two men (18 and 19) from Woudrichem and Brakel have been arrested. The police suspect that they have a conflict in the relational sphere.
Around midnight, the victim was driving with an ex-girlfriend across the Distributiestraat on an industrial estate in Giessen, when they were suddenly hit by several cars. The occupants of these cars ran towards the man and assaulted him. They beat him with a baton, among other things.
Shell casings on the street
When the 25-year-old man ran away, he heard one of his assailants fire shots. The bullets missed him, after which he called the police. Not much later, the police arrested the two suspected perpetrators. They’re still stuck.
During the investigation at the business park in Giessen, officers found several bullet casings on the street.
