The driver of a car was seriously injured this afternoon in a single-vehicle accident on Slenerweg, near Emmen. The vehicle crashed into a tree for unknown reasons.
Three ambulances and a trauma helicopter arrived to provide medical assistance. Police and fire brigade were also called.
The road between Emmen and Noord-Sleen is closed due to the accident.
