A motorist almost drove a house in Coevorden last night. Due to a low wall, the car finally came to a halt in the front garden. The accident happened on the Wilhelminasingel.
According to bystanders, the driver missed a bend and then rammed her car the garden wall. The car was considerably damaged, but the driver remained unharmed.
New asphalt has recently been applied to the road surface of the Wilhelminasingel. Whether this played a role in the accident is unclear. The police are investigating further.
