A motorcyclist ended up in the ditch on the Veerweg in Sprang-Capelle on Thursday evening. An ambulance, fire brigade and police rushed to the scene. The man was pulled from the ditch and taken to hospital by ambulance.
The accident happened around a quarter past nine in the evening. The man was driving towards Sprang-Capelle when something went wrong in an S-bend. He drove straight ahead and ended up in the ditch about 1.80 meters deep. The victim called a family member from the neighborhood who called the emergency services.
A towing company removed the engine from the water. The police are still investigating the cause of the accident.
