Trump will speak in the Israeli parliament on Sunday
Donald Trump will address the Knesset, Israel’s parliament, on Sunday. To this end, the Speaker of the Knesset, Amir Ohana, has officially invited the American president, reports the Israeli medium N12 on X. The message includes a photo of the invitation.
In it, Ohana speaks highly of Trump’s role in the realization of the peace deal, which is still being voted on in the same parliament. “Your leadership, courage, perseverance and vision have not only led to a deal for the release of all the hostages taken by Hamas on October 7, but to an unprecedented regional agreement that has been accepted by virtually every country in the Middle East.”
Trump said he already wants to travel to Israel, adding that he hopes to be there in time for the release of the hostages. That should happen “Monday or Tuesday”.
It will be the first speech by an American president since 2008, when George W. Bush spoke there.
