After qualifying and the Sprint race on Saturday, both under the sun, on the circuit of Brno everything is ready for the most awaited day of Grand Prix of the Czech Republicscheduled Sunday 21 June 2026the ninth stage of the season for the MotoGP and for the other classes of MotoGP. Starting from pole, for the first time in the premier class, will be the Japanese Ai Ogura. The pilot Aprilia Trackhouse was the fastest on the flying lap, as already happened in Friday’s practice, also setting a new track record. Always very competitive in the second part of the race, he could get his first MotoGP victory here. However, he was unable to achieve success in the Sprintwhere with the medium tire behind he finished second. In front of everyone, after 10 laps of the short race, he arrived Pecco Bagnaia. The Czech weekend has been very positive so far for the Italian Ducati official. After the third fastest time in qualifying, he opted for the soft rear, leading the race from start to finish. He will be in the front row with them Fabio Di Giannantoniosecond in testing with the Ducati VR46, but then less fast in the Sprint, where he finished fourth. The world champion was more competitive than him Marc Marquezwho chose the soft rear tire like his Ducati teammate. After the fifth time in qualifying, he finished third in the Sprint, not far from Bagnaia and Ogura. Ahead of Marquez on the grid there will be the world championship leader Marco Bezzecchifourth in qualifying with his official Aprilia, who however crashed halfway through the short race when he was not very close to the leaders. Another mistake that made him lose several points in the championship, given that it is already his fourth zero in nine Sprints. Compared to him he has thus recovered something Jorge Martin. Tenth in qualifying, the official Aprilia rider finished fifth in the short race, but in the long one he will have to serve a double long lap penalty for the accident caused at the first corner at Balaton. They also crashed in the Czech Sprint Diogo Moreirasixth in qualifying on the Honda Lcr, e Pedro Acostaeighth on the grid with the Ktm official. He didn’t race the short race and won’t even do the long one with his Ducati Gresini Alex Marquezwho decided to stop after qualifying to better recover from the injury. At the end of the Brno Sprint, Bezzecchi’s lead in the world championship has decreased a little: he now has 15 points more than teammate Martin, with Di Giannantonio at -36 and Acosta at -48. The first three of the short race also recover: Marquez -65, Ogura -66 and Bagnaia -69. The sky should be cloudier on Sunday, where as always, before the 21 laps of the premier class, there will be the races of the Moto3 and of Moto2. They will start from pole here respectively David Almansa And David Alonso.
