The Spaniard will not take part in the Sachsenring GP. The physical recovery after the serious accidents is still incomplete, as underlined by the medical tests carried out in Barcelona
Jorge Martin will have to wait even before participating in a MotoGP race. Struggling with the injury suffered in Qatar, the Aprilia pilot seemed ready to return to Sachsenring, home to the German Grand Prix. Instead, the outgoing champion did not receive the green light for the eleventh round, set from 11 to 13 July. In fact, the Aprilia team has communicated that Martin’s physical recovery is currently insufficient to allow him to run. So the stop will last at least another two weeks.

Today, Monday 30 June, Jorge underwent some medical checks in Barcelona at the Dexeus university hospital. Dr. Xavier Mir analyzed the healing of the hull, finding “good clinical progress, with practically complete mobility of the arc of movement”. However, the recovery is still long: “the consolidation is not 100%, the process is positive despite the repair is not complete”. Instead, Dr. Angel Charte has observed how the healing of Costal Fractures proceeds: “significant evolution of fracture outbreaks in most of the syntrhexic injuries. Despite the remarkable evolution, some are not complete. Very positive evolution, it is believed that two weeks are still needed for a definitive healing”. Martin will undergo a program a new assessment in about seven days. An important exam also to evaluate his possible presence in a private test, with the aim of fully back to healed on his RS-GP.
CALVARY

Jorge dreamed of a 2025 protagonist, ready to show off the number 1 on his Aprilia, a symbol of the world title won a year ago with Ducati Pramac. Instead, the Spaniard is experiencing a tormented path. On February 5, during the winter tests in Malaysia, a highside cost him fractures to his right hand and left foot. Another injury on February 24: training with a supermotard, Martin stumbled upon a second fall that caused a second fracture, this time to the left hull. Jorge skipped the first three rounds, making his debut with Aprilia in Qatar on April 11. Two days later, during the Grand Prix, the Spaniard fell by reporting a hemopneumotorace and multiple fractures to the ribs. A real ordeal. Also, to make matters worse, there are also delicate decisions to make. Martin, in fact, seems intent on leaving the Aprilia team by exploiting a clause in the contract. The divorce, however, remains at the moment a hypothesis.
