Sylvia Sneijder, the mother of former football player Wesley Sneijder, died of cancer on Wednesday evening at the age of 59. The record international of Orange announced this via Instagram.
Wesley Sneijder and his brother Rodney shared the sad news on Instagram last night. ‘Rest in Peace’ and ‘Love your mama forever’, former Ajax, Real Madrid and Internazionale midfielder placed with a photo of his mother.
Younger brother Rodney posted, among other things, a photo of his mother with the text: ‘What you have in your heart, you will never lose. Rest in peace dear mama & thank you for everything.’ The former FC Utrecht player added a heart to that.
Yolanthe Cabau, the former wife of Wesley Sneijder, also shared in several photos and messages that she will always be grateful and never forget her ex-mother-in-law. The photos show, among other things, how grandson Xess Xava and the actress herself cuddle with Sylvia.
The Utrecht woman was diagnosed with cancer last year during a holiday in Turkey, after which she was declared clean after several chemotherapy treatments at the end of last year. Sylvia Sneijder-Thiele turned 59 years old.
