Out figures from Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) shows a Zoetermeer home that changed hands last year for an average of 394,000 euros. In 2021, that amount was 351,500 euros. That is an increase of 12 percent.

Cheapest and most expensive municipality

Nationally, the Dutch house price was about 429,000 euros last year, which is a lot higher than in Zoetermeer. However, there are major differences between municipalities. The most expensive municipality was, just like in 2021, Bloemendaal. Home buyers there paid an average of more than 1.1 million euros for a home.

In Bloemendaal you paid an average of 1.1 million euros for a home last year. But what did you get for that in Zoetermeer? The most expensive home, sold in 2022, is in the Meerpolder. This nine-room farmhouse sold for 2,500,000 euros in a year and a half.
