The new Atlas for Municipalities was released on Thursday, November 20. For this publication, research was conducted into the most attractive places to live in the Netherlands. How does that work out for Zoetermeer?

Your own fireplace is worth its weight in gold… right?! As a Zoetermeer resident, you may be overjoyed with your place of residence, while someone else wouldn’t trade it for anything. Matter of personal preference. The Atlas researchers therefore looked at more than fifty factors such as accessibility, facilities and safety in each city. They examined the fifty largest municipalities.
Zoetermeer in the rankings
Zoetermeer was also scrutinized. What turns out? The municipality is in seventeenth place. That is slightly lower than last year, when Zoetermeer was in sixteenth place.
Other cities in the region have mixed scores. Leiden is an admirable number four, but Nissewaard has to settle for 36th place.

- Amstelveen
- To lead
- Leidschendam-Voorburg
- Haarlem
- Delft
- Hilversum
- The Hague
