C.i wanted Moschino to bring (finally) a little sparkle to the catwalks of the Milan Fashion Week Autumn-Winter 2022-2023, not so much on the front clothes, which for Jeremy Scott I’m, as usualan expression of pure creativity, as well as in the beauty field, thanks to a more gritty mood than what we have seen so far.
Milan Fashion Week Fall-Winter 2022-2023: the power of eyeliner
Scott re-reads two collections by Franco Moschino, from 1989 and 1990, in which the founder of the Maison had played with elements dedicated to the home, from taps to pins in the shape of cutlery. Thirty-two years later, sofa-dresses and a trompe l’oeil clock (just to name a few) parade, but also a headdress in the shape of an abat-jour and a candelabra designed by the genius of the hatbox Stephen Jones. In this surreal house that comes to life, inspired by the final scene of 2001 A Space Odyssey (so much so that in the end with a theatrical coup Jones shows up in an astronaut suit) beauty plays a primary role.
To literally underline the entry on the scene of characters (all female) from which it is not possible to take one’s eyes off, a marked trait of eyeliner with classic upturned commawhich intensifies the looks of the tops on the catwalk, from Gigi and Bella Hadidto Mariacarla Boscono.

Smokey in pendant and a conspicuous dose of mascara on fake lashes make the eyes more impactful: more than that? Impossible.
Lively mouths and XXL hairstyles
They are not far behind lip, defined but not at all embalmed, thanks with a creamy texture that (if necessary) they also help to give a little more volume. Thus, the face becomes a canvas to describe a sophisticated beauty, which uses classic codes revisited in a contemporary key. To enhance the make-up even more, a face free from hair, collected in voluminous bananas with wave-shaped locks by the hair stylist team Sam McKnight. The inspiration of the furniture, moreover, is eighteenth-century, it could not be different.
