Moschino mother Aeffe closes 2022 with a solid increase in sales

The Italian fashion group Aeffe SpA was able to grow strongly in the past year. “Despite the uncertain macroeconomic environment, we are very satisfied with the sales development in fiscal year 2022,” said Executive Chairman Massimo Ferreti in a statement published on Thursday. All brands contributed to the fact that sales “exceeded the level of the pre-pandemic period”, emphasized the CEO.

According to preliminary figures, the parent company of brands such as Alberta Ferretti, Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini, Moschino and Pollini generated group sales of 352.0 million euros last year. This corresponded to an increase of 8.4 percent (currency-adjusted +7.7 percent) compared to 2021.

The solid plus was due to increases in almost all market regions. In Italy, sales rose by 9.4 percent to 144.6 million euros compared to the previous year, and by 11.6 percent to 117.8 million euros in the rest of Europe. Revenues in America amounted to EUR 24.6 million, exceeding the previous year’s level by 14.0 percent (currency-adjusted +5.6 percent).

However, the temporarily tightened protective measures against the Covid 19 pandemic are affecting development in China. Total sales in Asia and the remaining global markets fell by 0.5 percent (currency-adjusted -1.3 percent) and only reached a level of 65.0 million euros.
