More than 26,500 euros raised for hero who prevented beheading in Belfast, family calls for calm: “Many migrants make valuable contributions”

Matt McKiernan (32) is the hero of the day. With a hurling stick he attacked the knife-puller in Belfast “on instinct”, narrowly saving Stephen Ogilvie (44) from beheading.
