According to the municipal administration, there is no reason to panic. The crèche de kangaroo temporarily moved to the old library and will receive a new building again next year. In addition, two new reception initiatives are being prepared, good for 43 extra places. “As a result, we reach the Flemish average again. The out -of -school care in Varsenare is also under pressure. Team8490 complains that there is far too little capacity, especially with the arrival of new allotments. The municipal administration points out that 120 children are already being taken care of today, partly in the IBO and partly at school. “We have also expanded the sports offer to reduce the pressure. Moreover, we have recently provided premiums for new reception initiatives. From next school year we will see whether an external partner can organize the out -of -school care,” says Vandenberghe.
