No fewer than 156 people were banned from entering their home this year by the family court because they behaved aggressively towards their partner. That sentence is on the rise, since 2020 it has been pronounced eight times more. But that remains insufficient, says Flemish Justice Minister Zuhal Demir (N-VA), she wants even more restraining orders.
