High energy prices and expensive groceries are causing more and more people to get into trouble. “There is no question of a poverty trap yet, but the financial resilience of many households is low,” concludes ABN Amro in its first Social Impact Monitor. The bank therefore warns that the number of households with problematic debts could rise rapidly in the coming months.
