The puppy Moppi, a male, was found on 2 April in Westende with inflamed wounds on its rear pinch and was struggling with fever and weakening. After months of rehabilitation in Sea Life Blankenberge, he is now strong enough again to continue his life in the wild.
The release coincides with the start of the season in which the ordinary seal is also spotted on our coast more often. “This period emphasizes the importance of vigilance, fast help and safe care for seals in need,” they say at Sea Life.
