The moped rider who was seriously injured in an accident in Sprang-Capelle on Friday died of his injuries on Monday. It concerns a 50-year-old man from Waalwijk.
The victim was driving along the Halve Zolenpad at ten to half past five that Friday afternoon. For unknown reasons, he collided with a car driving on the Tolweg. The car was hit in the side. The police’s initial findings show that the car had priority at the intersection.
The moped rider from Waalwijk was rushed to a hospital in a serious condition. He died there on Monday, the police reported.
The driver of the car became trapped after the collision. Employees from a nearby business helped him get out of the car. He suffered facial injuries and multiple cuts and abrasions.
