Exactly, the famous ones that take off from the shoes – says the saying – when maybe a sufficient period of time has passed to derogate the angry reproach from explosive controversy to simple puncture, which perhaps one hatches inside for years until the moment in which he decides to get rid of it. And in reality it is also the first because, those who have a little memory know it well, it is not a mystery that the last husband of adventure in the Rossoneri for Riccardo – when, precisely, on the bench Rino sat – was not very rewarding. There were two seasons lived under the same roof in Milan: 2017-18 and 2018-19. Gattuso, promoted by spring, takes over in Montella between November and December. These are two seasons in which the devil does not take off, and when things go like this it is easier for tear to be created. In this case there is already a hole, which then ends up becoming a gash. The numbers tell a lot and say that in the first vintage Montolivo collects – including cups – only 17 appearances that do not allow them to even reach a thousand minutes of field. But it is the next one the tombstone on everything: not even half a foot on the field, only an infinite list of benches, missed convocations and some physical problems (calf) which, most likely, has not however influenced the choices of Gattuso. Officially it is not an out of pink, but it is as if it were. Separate in the house: a part of training with the team, a part alone or with spring. A complicated scenario for Riccardo, who was already returning from the farewell to the captain’s band, ended up on Bonucci’s arm in summer 2017 (then with Montella). Then, many greetings also to the titular shirt, which ended up on the shoulders of Biglia and Locatelli for Riccardo’s frustration, who repeated as a mantra always the same thing: “I have always made my contribution in the locker room and on the field, I don’t understand why all this”. In addition, another slap: the failure to call for the US tour in the summer of 2018 (“I was never explained why, the decision was communicated to me by the team manager with an SMS the day before departure”). A situation that undermined him in the soul to the point of giving farewell to football played, in November 2019, in open controversy with the treatment received by Milan. “What happened with Gattuso? For me nothing, but I could not explain this situation and I never had answers,” Riccardo said at the time. Now there is a pebble that rolls down the mountain, and who knows if Rino sooner or later he will answer him.
