Monster fire on sites of waste intermunicipal company IMOG Moen: “We cautiously estimate the damage at 4 million euros”

A major fire broke out on the site of the intermunicipal waste company IMOG in Moen (Zwevegem) on Monday morning. The fire brigade called on residents of Moen and Heestert to keep windows and doors closed. The blaze could be stopped after a few hours, but extinguishing it lasted until well into the afternoon. “We estimate the damage at around 4 million euros,” says IMOG director Johan Bonnier, who also immediately makes a warm appeal.
