The deficit on the federal budget continues to rise. This year the budget of the De Wever government is heading for a deficit of 26.2 billion euros, or 4.1 percent of GDP. By the end of the legislature in 2029 there is a deficit of 37.5 billion euros or 5.2 percent. This is certainly apparent from a new report from the Monitoring Committee that appeared on Thursday.
