Monique Hansler finds it absurd, ridiculous and low that De Telegraaf has called her a ‘mother-in-law’. That term was then eagerly embraced by other media. “Scandalous!”
It seems that Monique Hansler is enjoying all the attention that her own reality series on SBS 6 brings. Secretly, she also seems to really enjoy all the riots; she is happy to talk about it in the show sections. However, she is less pleased that De Telegraaf declared her a ‘mother-in-law’ a while ago.
Too much
Sometimes all criticism is really a bit too muchMonique thinks. She is especially angry that TV psychologists are now taking care of her. “Insanely crazy. Those people are completely crazy,” she snorts Weekend. “Especially the one who was at Shownieuws — I don’t know his name, but he was going to tell me exactly what I was like.”
She continues: “Who used to be on Married At First Sight, that psychologist (behavioral biologist Patrick van Veen, ed.). Well, he should go back to school, because he doesn’t know anything about it! He should do his homework better, I think.”
Mother-in-law
Why did she think Patrick was wrong? “Well, he said that I was such a terrible woman with how I treat those girls, how I portray them and who knows what else. And that Mike will never get a woman with a mother like that. Because of course I am that bastard mother, or that bastard mother-in-law.”
Monique has now come up with two variants herself. Why is she angry about that Telegraaf term? “It’s a shame that they say that! Those girls all had a great time with me. I can’t help it that it didn’t work out. And those girls now want to come back, because they think: hello, I want to stay in the publicity!”
