MobilePay has launched a business application that will transform the seller’s phone into a versatile payment terminal.

Vipps MobilePay has launched a new application called Mobile Skill for small and medium-sized businesses. Vipps MobilePay

As Apple bent to the will of the European Union and opened its phones to its NFC chip competitors, it has begun in the mobile charges market. Until now, Apple has kept the use of the chip on its devices, which has limited competing payment service providers from developing their own similar solutions to the company’s equipment.

First, in March, Nets, a payment service company, launched an action for iPhone users to use the phone as a payment terminal. Now, Norwegian-Finnish Vipps MobilePay has also entered the game by publishing a new Mobile Cash app on both Apple phones and Android.

Through a mobile cashier for small and medium -sized businesses, you can receive payments in three ways:

  • Reception of card payments with local payment.
  • Reception of MobilePay with a QR code, which the customer acknowledges with their own MobilePay application.
  • Reception of cash payments by choosing cash from the application.

The application also includes product management, receipts, reports and sales tracking.

MobilePay does not charge for downloading or using the application. Instead, the company takes a 1.75 % slice of every transaction. In March, MobilePay also began charging service charges for consumer fees.

Competition in the mobile charges market is also tightened by Nordea and OP’s joint venture, which is launching its own payment solution.
