Max Kepler made a bullish prediction for the Minnesota Twins early in the Major League Baseball season.
“Our chances of making the playoffs are very good,” said the 29-year-old outfielder on “Sport1”: “The team is great and the players all get along well. The main goal is to stay healthy and positive .”
After 71 of 162 main round games, the Twins are the sixth-best team in the American League and are right in the middle of the playoff race.
Kepler from Berlin, who has hit seven home runs so far this season and has a solid average at bat, still sees room for improvement on the way to the postseason.
“I want that every year until the end of my career. It’s always a project to find little things to improve and to develop myself,” said Kepler: “I want to continue helping to win games and be a team player.”
