The search for the swimmer who went missing last night in ‘t Wed in Overveen continues today. Police say it is a 32-year-old man and ask people not to come to the area. The beach will remain closed to visitors during the search.
A police spokesman said it is unlikely that the 32-year-old man will be found alive and suspect that he drowned. Last night, after a search with diving teams, the man was not found. The family is taken care of by the police.
Today again, diving teams are searching in the lake. It is therefore not possible for visitors to come to the area on and around the beach at ‘t Wed.
