The 22-year-old biathlon promise Sporaland disappeared in March. At the beginning of June, the police found the body based on a tip. After that, the identity of the body still had to be confirmed.

– He had injuries to his head and ribs. Those can happen if you fall from a high place, director of investigations Ragnhild Ouren said Oppland Arbeiderblad according to the magazine.

According to a tip the police received from a hiker, there was something blue in the area. It was known that when Sporaland disappeared he was wearing a blue jacket and red shoes.

According to Ouren, it took 2.5 months to find Sporaland, because there was snow in the area when the young man disappeared, and more fell in the following days.

– Because it was not possible to walk at that point, Ouren said.

– This is a heavy message to deliver, but it is a relief for the relatives and us that he was found. They’ve been looking for answers and it’s good that we can provide them. That’s our job.

The police do not suspect a crime in the case.

According to the brother, there is no information as to how the injuries to the head and side occurred.

– This was the end of Eivind’s life, but he was not like this. He was a brother to me. The brother who took his little brother with him to his friends. Many of them also became my friends. He was the brother I watched TV series with. He was a brother who took care of me. He was always the one in the room who created the atmosphere. He was the brother I told everything to. He was my best friend. I remember this brother, Erik wrote and thanked Eivind.
