The hurdler’s manager says that the 2026 competition season has not yet been finalized.
Finnish sprint hurdles champion and former SE woman Reetta Hurske31, has been sidelined from competitions throughout the 2026 outdoor track season due to a health problem.
– The whole season has not necessarily been thrown away yet. The idea is that maybe in July he would compete, the manager from Tampere Tero Heiska comment.
Hurske’s last season was a disaster due to problems with his left leg. The basic training season 2025–26 started well, until in December, the troubles returned intermittently. The supporter of the Tampere Ilves ice hockey team competed in four different events in the 60-meter hurdles during the hall season. In April, he told about the “discovery in the area of the ischial hump”. Hurska wrote on the photo and video service Instagram that “the situation is indeed more serious than previously reported”.
