It rarely or never happens: the love partner of a well-known TV star who publicly destroying about his or her TV program. Minouche van der Gijp, René van der Gijp’s partner, did that this week. She thinks it is outrageous that today Inside offers a stage to the ‘Inhumane crazy’ Wierd Duk and wants him out.

“It can’t be”

Johan Derksen has carefully announced that he would in any case find it uncomfortable to have a woman looking for publicity in this way, but René was very easy at the table at VI with the freedom of his activist woman. Then Wilfred Genee is no longer the oh so critical presenter.

Anyway: Victor Vlam dares to speak out about Minouche despite his aspirations as a regular VI-guest. He lashes out to ‘the wife of’. “She even went a little further than her husband and he argued for an exit of Wierd as VI-guest. Yes, look, that is of course not possible, hey,” he says in the podcast Victor explains TV.

Shut up

Minouche just has to keep her mouth shut, says Victor. “It is not possible for the same reason that Dick’s girlfriend Schoof cannot review her husband’s public ministers. There is always the appearance that she is doing it on his behalf that they play under one hat. And you just can’t do that.”

He continues: “There are a lot of benefits to being René van der Gijp’s partner, but at least there is also one disadvantage: you cannot burn off VI guests in public. And for the sake of clarity: that is therefore mainly because it radiates negative on René. As if he argues for an exit of a guest through his wife.”

Not well

People look at René and that is understandable, says Victor. “Yes, that just doesn’t seem neat, so she can’t do that better for that reason.”

René himself no longer wants to be next to Wierd. According to Victor, that is because René relates everything away. “That is very deep in his character and that is also what makes him complete and totally opposite of Wierd Duk, and also somewhat from Johan Derksen by the way.”
