At a charity summer festival for the Lichtblick Seniorenhilfe Foundation near Munich, an impressive €245,000 was raised last weekend. Among the attendees was moderator and actress Birgit Schrowange, who actively supports initiatives for older adults, particularly those in financial need.
Speaking with the media, Schrowange revealed a distressing reality: “Many seniors are unfortunately ashamed to accept the help and support they are entitled to. A few months ago, Schrowange and her husband, the Swiss entrepreneur Frank Spothelfer, turned over a new leaf by relocating from Cologne to Munich. As she put it, “I have lived in Cologne for a long time, and experiencing a new city is wonderful. We are both free – my husband has also ceased working – and the leisure opportunities in Munich are remarkable.“
The couple also maintains a residence in Mallorca and plans to continue their transitory lifestyle, balancing the charm of city life with their commitment to charitable endeavors.
