Minister Marjolein Faber of Asylum and Migration (PVV) is ‘100% behind’ the decision of Prime Minister Dick Schoof and Minister Judith Uitermark of the Interior (NSC) to put their signatures under the lectures for ribbons for asylum volunteers. She writes that in late Tuesday evening one letter To the House of Representatives, after there was a lot of fuss about her performance about the issue during the question time.
According to Faber, there is, because she is behind the Prime Minister’s decision to sign for the ribbons, “full unit of cabinet policy.” The opposition parties GroenLinks-PvdA, ChristenUnie and D66, among others, said during the question time that this was no longer the case. PVV State Secretary Ingrid Coenradie also told journalists that Faber does not radiate unity of cabinet policy.
In her letter to Parliament, Faber writes that the decision of the Minister of the Interior and the Prime Minister is also on her behalf, but that this “apparently not sufficiently came across in today’s question time.” She also writes that she “regrets” that she “too often” pointed out why she didn’t want to put her signature.
