After the accident in Buggenhout involving a school bus, the spotlight is (again) on the troubled student transport. And just now, Flemish Minister of Mobility Annick De Ridder (N-VA) wants De Lijn to arrange bus transport with millions of euros less. The hard verdict for next school year? More than 200 bus lines would be canceled throughout Flanders, not everyone would be picked up at home and more students would have to sit on the bus for more than 90 minutes for a single journey.
