Before the release of her new album Something Beautiful, which will be released on May 30th, Miley Cyrus has now announced that the next project is already in the starting blocks – and, as she reveals, this should become “extremely experimentally”.
On May 27, Cyrus surprised at this announcement at an exclusive private concert in the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles. In front of selected fans, which she had personally invited to the intimate listing session, she said: “My next album will be extremely experimentally-have fun with it.”
Something Beautiful is only the “starter”
Cyrus makes it clear: Something Beautiful is not the grand finale, but in your eyes only the beginning of a new creative chapter. Cyrus, who was just talking openly about her vocal biking disease, described the upcoming work according to “TMZ” as the “main course” – the current album is only “the starter”.
Before it becomes experimentally, on May 30, 2025, her ninth studio album Something Beautiful via Columbia Records will be released. It already contains published singles such as “Prelude”, “End of the World”, “More to Lose” and the title track, as well as collaborations with Naomi Campbell and Brittany Howard. An accompanying film to the album should also come. The visual implementation was created under the direction of Cyrus itself, together with the producers Jacob Bixenman and Brendan Walter.
First live premiere of “Easy Lover”
During her appearance in Los Angeles, Miley Cyrus played an approximately 45-minute set, including songs from the new album as well as fan favorites such as “Flowers” and a shortened version of her classic from Hannah Montana times “The Climb”. The live premiere of the previously unpublished song “Easy Lover” caused a sensation.
While Miley Cyrus continues artistically, she will probably not go on a big world tour in the foreseeable future. Due to an illness of her vocal cords, she dispenses with classic tours for the time being – instead, the focus is on studio work and creative projects.
