What are an evangelical temple that charges with poor people, the Opus Dei, the Catholic Church in its most recalcitrant version, orthodox Judaism, speaking with dead dogs, throwing the letters or venerating a politician? And what does it mean that all these belief systems – which for centuries hated each other – today live without conflict in an authoritarian political syncretism called New Right? The same week in which Javier Milei declares that scientific research is little less than a charlatanería, proposes Conicet to decide what is investigated and what is not, proclaims that faith is the secret of the success of the West, the only principle that society can organize.
Liberalism, which in this movement is a mere useful alibi, from the Vamos defined political freedom as the departure of the faith of temporal power, the secular domain that prevented speaking of God from using the sword. Now Milei – and all his ideological constellation, which goes from Trump to Bolsonaro, passing through Orbán or Meloni – want to place faith above the State.
This is the first key: the hatred of the State they preach is not an hatred of the oppressor state, but to the secular state. To the legalized state that deprives the faith of its political power. That is why Mileista anarchococapitalism does not seek anarchy as a libertarian paradise, seeks less legality, less objectivity, less obstacles to the absolute dominance of the enlightened. The anti-state in Milei aims to restore another form of domain without limits. At the same time, this is not a attachment to traditions. In the first place, because one would have to choose one of the wide drawer of beliefs and superstitions of Milei and its equivalents in other countries, but that are especially mixed. Because tradition also implies an objective form of order and the enlightened does not suit.

That is why this phenomenon is misunderstood when it is associated with no more categories of the twentieth century. This is not an extreme liberalism or conservatism without more. It is a new anti -modern syncretism that in its forms is fascist, where faith ceases to be transcendent religion to become a purely earthly instrument, at the service of the leader.
It is enough to see Argentine Collage himself: an orthodox rabbi blessing Milei; Evangelist shepherds who proclaim him chosen; Catholic entrepreneurs of Opus dei Financed his campaign; and the macabre ceremony in which President blandes a chainsaw surrounded by chains, invoking his dead dog Conan as a spiritual guide. Because democratic modernity – the Constitution, the Rule of Law, the Republic, secular philosophy, science – rests in a premise: reality is affordable for reason, not by revelation. By freeing ourselves from revelation, we free ourselves from the enlightened ones. Not the goddess reason for the Jacobins, but the observation of reality without catechism, which gives meaning to equality before the law, to the government of general rules and all the advances of personal freedom that have been resisted from the God that tormes them ..
When that breaks, we were at the mercy of saviors. We can no longer see or know for ourselves. Some have the connection and free us from demons, the rest is left to believe and venerate. They manage who the demon is, in general those who doubt. When reality is not for us, but for those who see it, there is no journalism that tells us what happens. Communism has nothing to do with concepts of the twentieth century, but it is simply evil.
It is also freedom for racist not to be disturbed with political corrections. Freedom for aggression to be just a form of expression. Freedom for the government of “turns.” Freedom for Christ to be presented, not as a preacher of love, but as the guarantor of hatred and inequalities.
This syncretism is not religion. It is not a path to heaven. Milei, stating that it represents “the forces of heaven”, does not love us good: he loves us obedient. Because he speaks for the one, and who contradicts him speaks from hell. As Ayn Rand taught, author to whom her followers have tainted, when we renounce rational scrutiny, we only have blind faith in providential men.
That is why religion, although it seems paradoxical, in this religious fascism it is less important than liberalism itself: a doctrine does not interest, as soon as obedience. It doesn’t matter if faith is in a rabbi, a shepherd, a tarot or a dead dog, while destroying the secular border that supports modern liberal democracy, while the Republic disarms and sanctifies the leader. It matters that the reason turns off, so that there is no form of security other than submission.
