The announcement from the Hartono club ahead of the February match: “At our side as ambassadors of the club and of Serie A”

Milan-Como will be played in Perth on 7 or 8 February. All that is missing is the official announcement from FIFA (and also the exact date) but the longest away match in the history of Serie A is now effectively set. San Siro will be requisitioned for the preparations for the opening ceremony of the Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics and therefore we will export our football to Australia. While on the Rossoneri side Rabiot and Maignan contested the decision to play 13,800 kilometers from home, Como will invite 50 fans to the match.

the statement

In a statement which also mentions the need to relaunch our football product abroad, the Como of the Indonesian Hartono brothers announces the initiative: “If FIFA gives the green light, Como 1907 will go to Perth, Australia, in February to face Milan, taking part in a common mission to bring Serie A back to the center of world football and guarantee a more solid future for all the clubs that represent it. We invite 50 fans to join us on this trip to Australia to stand by our side as ambassadors of Como 1907 and Serie A. Together we will show the world what Italian football truly represents: tradition, heart and hope for the future.”
