Miitta Sorvali and Antti Holma are both priests’ children – That’s why they share a certain skill

Actress Miitta Sorvali will be seen as one of the judges in the Master Bakers program starting at the end of March. The jury consists of three “grandmothers” who evaluate the home bakers’ sweet pastries. In addition to Sorval, we will see you in the program Eila Kiilamaa and Irma Nissinen.

Sorvali reveals to Iltalehti how he, Antti Holma, who hosts the program, and Irma, one of the judge’s grandmothers, are united by a strange skill: They all know Zion’s hymns familiar from their childhood.

The streams are part of the heritage of Finland’s awakened people, or the Körtti people. They are like prayers that are carved without accompaniment. Holma and Sorval are familiar with them from childhood also because both of their fathers worked as pastors.

– It was a pretty cool surprise. When I was little, I heard Zion’s hymns and we sang them. Then Anttik also knew them and at the same time Irma also announced that he loves to carve them. And so we were carved!

The trio’s free time on the set was often spent humming songs. The producer was so enthusiastic about the songs that he wanted a piece of them in the program. However, Sorvali has not yet seen the final result, so it is not certain whether the veisails ended up in the program.

– Antti is good company and these grannies are good company. It’s really amazing that we happened to have three people there who knew these hymns.
