Mick Schumacher calls world champion title as a goal

Mick Schumacher currently has to be content with the role of reserve driver at Mercedes in Formula 1. Nevertheless, the German motorsport hopeful has not lost sight of his ambitious goals.

“Unfortunately I don’t have a seat in Formula 1 this year, but the role of reserve driver at Mercedes is still a step forward because I can take a lot with such a huge team,” said Mick Schumacher in the “Sky” interview about his current one Location in the motorsport premier class.

In the past two seasons, the 24-year-old started for Haas in Formula 1. However, Schumacher could not recommend himself for a new contract with the US racing team. The remaining nine teams also refrained from using the German as their regular driver.

After all, Mick Schumacher came under Mercedes as a backup. The role in the Silver Arrows should only remain a stopover. “My goal is to get back into Formula 1 in 2024 and then hopefully stay and be successful,” revealed the former Formula 2 champion.

Mick Schumacher still wants to realize his big dream. “The goal of us riders is to become world champion and that’s my goal too. Accordingly, I’m trying to be better than yesterday and to trump today’s path tomorrow,” he explained.

Mick Schumacher “doesn’t want to share too much”

Away from the racetrack, on the other hand, Schumacher takes it easy.

“Private life was extremely important to my dad and we really did it and I took it on personally. I don’t want to share too much,” revealed the Mercedes driver.
