Michiel de Ruyter commemorated with wreaths on his grave crypt in Nieuwe Kerk

He had no faith in it. Michiel de Ruyter (1607-1676), however, did what the state wanted from him. It became fatal to him. Every year he is commemorated in a small circle. His descendant Frits de Ruyter de Wildt took his huge key to the Ruyters burial cellar for the commemoration to the Nieuwe Kerk in Amsterdam.
