The leading associations within the German Olympic Sports Confederation (DOSB) have a new spokesman.
As the DOSB announced, the President of the German Handball Federation, Andreas Michelmann, was unanimously elected Chairman of the spokes group in Berlin.
The 62-year-old Michelmann succeeds Ingo Weiss. The President of the German Basketball Federation has been in office since 2018. “With Andreas Michelmann, the DOSB has an experienced contact person for jointly mastering the challenges in competitive sport,” said DOSB President Thomas Weikert after the election.
