Metallica organizes a double concert at the Olympic Stadium

The giant of metal music organizes two different concerts in Finland.

The American metal music giant Metallica will perform on two nights in the summer of 2024 at the Helsinki Olympic Stadium. Finland’s Live Nation announced the double gig on Monday.

Metallica announced the dates of its M72 world tour, which will be held in 2023–24, and Helsinki is also on the list. In addition to Finland, the tour only stops in seven other European countries. In each concert city, Metallica will perform two nights, and according to the release, the concert sets of the nights are clearly different from each other. Both gigs also have different warm-up artists.

Metallica will perform at the Helsinki Olympic Stadium first on Friday, June 7, 2024 and then on Sunday, June 9, 2024.

A portion of the M72 tour’s box office proceeds will go to the band’s All Within My Hands foundation, which works to create sustainable communities by supporting workforce training, hunger relief and other important local services.

Metallica is a metal band founded in 1981, which has released ten studio albums during its more than 40-year career. The band’s most famous songs include, among others Nothing Else Matters, Master of Puppets, Enter Sandman, Sad But True and Seek & Destroy.

Today, a singer-guitarist plays in the band James Hetfieldguitarist Kirk Hammett, bassist Robert Trujillo and drummer Lars Ulrich.
